The Boston College men's basketball team will meet Maryland in the Comcast Center in College Park, Md., in its first-ever Atlantic Coast Conference game, according to the schedule released by the school and the conference office.
The Eagles' ACC opener will be played at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, just five days after BC meets perennial power Michigan State in the Jimmy V Classic in New York's famed Madison Square Garden.
After playing at Georgia Tech on Sunday, Jan. 8, Boston College will host North Carolina State in its ACC home opener on Tuesday, Jan. 10. Florida State and Georgia Tech will also visit Chestnut Hill during the month of January.
BC will open its February slate when it hosts Duke in a 9 p.m., nationally-televised contest on Wednesday, Feb. 1. Clemson, Miami and Wake Forest will come to Conte Forum later in the month.
The Eagles conclude their regular-season schedule with a Senior Day game against Virginia Tech on Saturday, March 4 at noon.
On top of the nationally-televised game against Michigan State in the Jimmy V Classic, the non-conference slate is highlighted by four late-November games in the Las Vegas Invitational - the first two games to be played in Chestnut Hill, followed by two games in Las Vegas. BC will play rival Holy Cross in the DCU Center in Worcester on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
