Breaznell, St. Lucia Named To Big East First Team

Providence, R.I. - Boston College women's lacrosse senior co-captains Susie Breaznell and Carley St. Lucia were named to the All-Big East First team in an announcement made by the conference office on Tuesday. Senior Jackie Yovankin garnered second team honors for the third time in four years.
Breaznell was a unanimous selection to the first team. She leads the team in points with 49 on 44 goals and five assists. She has picked up 28 groundballs and won 20 draw controls in 16 games for the Eagles.
St. Lucia is a member of the league's first team for the second straight season. She is second on the team in points with 32 on 26 goals and six assists. The midfielder has won 30 draw controls and collected 33 groundballs.
Yovankin leads the team with 38 groundballs in 16 games this season. She is two groundballs shy of 200 on her career. Yovankin also leads the team in draw controls with 32. She has scored 13 goals and added six assists for 19 points.
BC (10-6) will play in the ECAC Championship on Saturday, May 14. The Eagles will face the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Conn. at 2 p.m.
