Football Competes In Second Scrimmage

Senior wide receiver Will Blackmon led Boston College with nine receptions and 74 receiving yards on Saturday afternoon in the team's final tune-up before the annual Jay McGillis Spring Game on Saturday, April 23 in Alumni Stadium.
Senior quarterback Quinton Porter completed 18 of 32 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns to lead BC. Sophomore Matt Ryan was 13-for-23 with 121 yards passing. Ryan tossed two touchdown passes and had one interception. Junior Karim El Nokali was a perfect 4-for-4, throwing for 45 yards. Both of freshman Chris Crane's completions were touchdown strikes.
Freshman Brandon Robinson caught five passes for 65 yards and a touchdown while senior Larry Lester had three receptions for 47 yards and a score. Junior Tony Gonzalez had five catches for 75 yards and also had a touchdown catch.
Sophomore Andre Callender led the Eagle rushing attack with 30 yards on 12 carries. Classmate L.V. Whitworth rushed 10 times for 29 yards and freshman A.J. Brooks had BC's longest rushing gain of the day after he ripped off a stunning 14-yard run on his third carry of the afternoon. Brooks carried 11 times for 24 yards.
