Freshman Jason Sechrist continued his torrid play on Saturday morning, defeating Charlotte's Jonathan Vencatachellum in a three-set battle, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2.
Sechrist's efforts weren't enough, however, as the men's tennis team dropped its other five singles matches and saw its six-match winning streak come to an end, falling to the 49ers, 6-1, in Charlotte, N.C.
Sophomore Soma Kesthely and senior Derrick Chou teamed to win at No. 2 doubles, defeating Charlotte's duo, 9-8.
