
Women's Tennis Defeats Brown, 4-3

The Boston College women's tennis team seized the match's final three points on Friday, to defeat Brown, 4-3.
Trailing 3-1, senior Nida Waseem won a hard-fought three-set match at No. 2 singles to bring the Eagles within a point. Waseem defeated Brown's Alex Arlak, 6-0, 5-7, 6-2, and set the stage for a dramatic come-from-behind victory.
Freshmen Gia Nafarrete and Caitlin Arnould won at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, to give BC its fourth win over an Ivy League opponent this season. Nafarrete dropped the first set, but came back to win a three-set battle with Michelle Pautler, 2-6, 6-3, 6-3. Arnould's 7-6, 7-5 win cemented the victory for BC.
Junior Szilvia Szegedi won at No. 1 singles for BC.
The Eagles have now won three consecutive matches for the first time this season and return to .500 with a record of 6-6. They are back in action on Saturday when they host future ACC foe Virginia Tech.
