Lacrosse Picked To Finish Sixth In Big East

Providence, R.I. - The Boston College women's lacrosse team was selected to finish sixth in the Big East Preseason Poll, as picked by the coaches, in an announcement made by the conference office today. Senior co-captains Susie Breaznell and Carley St. Lucia were named to the Preseason All-Big East team. Georgetown was picked to finish first after winning last year's championship.
In 2004, Breaznell led the team in goals with 35. As a junior, she also tallied five game-winning goals. St. Lucia, an unanimous selection to the All-Big East team, finished last season tied with Breaznell as the team leader in points with 38. She scored 26 goals and assisted on 12 scores.
The Eagles return 16 lettterwinners this season and welcome the addition of six newcomers.
BC opens it season on Wednesday, March 2 at Fairfield University. The game starts at 4 p.m.
