Eagles Win Mendelblatt Team Race

The 8th ranked coed sailing team won their second team racing intersectional of this school year at USF last weekend. Jeff Bonanni `05/Jen Doyle '05, Ben Gent `05/Caitlin Gill '05, and Frank Ustach `05/Joy MacDougall '05 sailed a near perfect regatta, losing just one of their 12 races. The Eagles beat out six other teams, including 14th ranked University of South Florida.
"I hope that this early season victory is a sign of things to come," coach Greg Wilkinson said. "The coed and women's sailing teams have set their sites on the three National Championship regattas this spring and this victory is a great stepping stone."
Team racing competition continues on February 26 and 27 at the Bavier Team Race Intersectional at the College of Charleston.
