Men's Hockey Falls to Boston University, 6-2

BOSTON - Freshman Benn Ferriero and sophomore Dan Bertram tallied one goal each to rally Boston College from a two-goal deficit, but the host Terriers responded with four third-period goals and sixth-ranked men's hockey fell to Boston University, 6-2, in front of 6,224 fans in Agganis Arena.
BU (5-6-2, 4-4-1 Hockey East) jumped out to a two-goal lead, scoring two first-period goal on five shots. John Laliberte scored the first BU goal - and the first power-play tally in 13 chances against BC - at 2:59. Kenny Roche put the Terries up two at 16:12.
Ferriero rallied the visiting Eagles late in the second period, beating BU goalie John Curry (33 saves) for his first collegiate goal at 14:20. BC (7-4-1, 6-2-1 HE) then evened the score early in the third period on Bertram's tally at 2:34.
The Terriers responded with three goals in just more than four minutes. Eric Thomassian added the fourth BU goal with 47 seconds to play for the 6-2 final.
BC sophomore goalie Cory Schneider recorded 22 saves and falls to 7-4-1. Curry improves to 4-5-2.
The Eagles out shot the Terriers 35-28, including a 14-5 advantage in the first period.
Next, BC hosts Hockey East opponent Massachusetts on Friday, Dec. 9. Game time is set for 7 p.m
