Providence, R.I. - The Boston College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Ivy League foe Brown in Providence Tuesday evening.
Brown got on the scoreboard in the 39th minute when Jamie Granger scored an unassisted goal, his third of the season.
Nearly five minutes into the second half, Eagles defender Jamen Amato earned a red card, leaving the Eagles a man down for the rest of the match.
Brown would apply pressure shortly after, and just over ten minutes later, Ben Brackett added the second goal of the evening off a header from a Darren Howerton free kick.
Brian Joyce added the third goal in the 86th minute to make the final 3-0. It was the first time the Bears have defeated BC in eight years.
Issey Maholo made nine saves on the evening including some impressive one-on-one stops. He has 21 saves in the last two games. Leading scorer Sherron Manswell added three shots as the Eagles were once again without the services of defender Sam Brill due to injury.
Boston College continues the ACC schedule Saturday evening at North Carolina State at 7 p.m.
