Men's Basketball Ranked 11th in Preseason National Poll

With four starters returning from last year's 25-win team, Boston College is ranked 11th in the ESPN/USA Today Preseason Coaches' poll. The national poll lists four Atlantic Coast Conference teams among the preseason top 25.
The Eagles were ranked 19th in the final 2004-05 ESPN/USA Today poll.
Duke, which also returns four starters from last season, is the nation's preseason No. 1 team, having received 28 of a possible 31 first-place votes. Following the Blue Devils in the top five are Connecticut, Texas (two first-place votes), Villanova (one first-place vote) and Michigan State.
BC will play Michigan State in the Jimmy V Classic in Madison Square Garden on Dec. 6.
Oklahoma is ranked sixth, followed by Gonzaga, Louisville, Arizona and Kentucky.
Two other ACC schools were ranked among the nation's top 25 teams. Wake Forest was tied for 18th, while Maryland was 21st.
