Haggerty Honored By College Soccer News

Men's soccer co-captain Pat Haggerty (Lawrenceville, N.J.) was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week for his defensive play in Boston College's victories over No. 21 Brown and Cal State-Northridge. Haggerty scored his first goal of the 2004 season in a 3-1 win over Brown on Friday afternoon. The senior back netted a header off a corner kick from freshman Hadrien Toure (Lyon, France) in the 83rd minute of the victory. In the win over Northridge, Haggerty marked Northridge's Willie Sims, the 2003 Big West Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year, and held him scoreless. Haggerty played a major role in the team's first shutout of the season.
