Women's XC Takes Third This Weekend

Maria Cicero's eighth place finish boosted women's cross country to a third place finish in the Iona College Meet of Champions. BC had five finishers in the top 31 of the race and seven in the top 50.
Wake Forest finished atop the leader board at the conclusion of the race. Although they did not have a top five finisher, the Demon Deacons had five finishers in the top 15.
Senior Cicero ran a 21:47.4 which placed her eighth overall. She finished just over a second behind UCONN's Kristen Meyer.
Other notable finishers include junior Laurel Burdick and sophomore Jess Flinn. Burdick ran a 21:59.2 and placed 11th overall. Flinn ran a 22:13.2 and finished in the 16th slot.
The next race for the Eagle women is on October 2 at the Murray Keating Invitational. The event is held at U-Maine in Orono.
