Boston College quarterback Paul Peterson and West Virginia running back Kay-Jay Harris have been named Big East Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Peterson led the BC offense in the Eagles' 27-7 victory over Connecticut. The senior quarterback completed 14-of-23 passes (60.9 percent) for 193 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 25 rushing yards to finish with 218 yards of total offense.
Peterson is the first quarterback in Boston College football history to go 6-0 as a starter. He becomes the second Eagle to earn Big East weekly honors this season. Last week, linebacker Ray Henderson was named Big East Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
