CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Goalkeeper Chris Brown, a standout athlete at Walsingham Academy in Williamsburg, Va., has signed a national letter-of-intent to play soccer at Boston College in 2004, according to BC Head Coach Ed Kelly.
The 6-foot-5-inch Brown earned Virginia Independent Schools Soccer Association (VISSA) All-State first-team honors as a junior and senior and garnered Team MVP honors three times while at Walsingham.
The Williamsburg, Va. product was a three-sport athlete in high school, also lettering in baseball and basketball. A first-team All-State and All-Conference selection in basketball, Brown earned All-Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools (TCIS) and Virginia Gazette Basketball Player-of-the-Year honors as a senior. He also earned first-team All-Conference accolades in baseball during his senior campaign.
Brown's brother, Adin, was a two-time All-American at William & Mary and is currently the goalkeeper for the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer.
