Hartford, Conn. - Freshman Alison Walshe continued her stellar season, firing a one-over-par 74 to place first overall and lead BC to victory at the 12-team Hartford Invitational. Teammate Kori Goulet shot a 77, good for second place. The tournament was originally scheduled for two days, but the rain that has pelted the northeast made second-round play impossible.
Moira O'Connell, competing as an invidiual, posted an 81 to tie for sixth place, while Jessica Steward's 82 was good for ninth. Elizabeth Friel shot 83, tying for 10th. Elizabeth Callery recorded an 87 to tie for 19th overall in the field of 63 players.
The Eagles will be off this weekend before traveling to South Bend, Ind. to compete in the BIG EAST Championships on April 24-25.
