O'Donnell Earns Pitcher of the Week

Boston College baseball player Matt O'Donnell (Marlboro, Mass./Ashland) earned BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week in an announcement made by the league office, Monday, April 12. O'Donnell, a senior right-hander, receives his first distinction from the conference and is the only Eagle to be recognized this season.
O'Donnell led BC to its first victory over Notre Dame since May 13, 2001. He pitched a complete game with six strikeouts and two walks while giving up no earned runs to hand the #4 Irish their first league loss of the season. The senior faced 31 batters and allowed only six hits through 7.0 innings in BC's 7-4 victory.
Boston College improved to 12-17 with a 4-1 record last week, including three BIG EAST wins. BC hosts Harvard, on Tuesday, April 13. Game time is 3 p.m.
