Craig Smith Earns NABC All-District Honors

Boston College sophomore forward Craig Smith captured NABC Division I All-District 1 first team honors, according to an announcement made by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Smith's selection to the All-District 1 team is his second selection in as many years.
Smith was joined on the District 1 first team by Ryan Gomes (Providence), Ben Gordon (Connecticut), Emeka Okafor (Connecticut) and Taylor Coppenrath (Vermont).
Through 25 games, Smith is averaging 17.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. In BIG EAST action, the sophomore averages 19.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. He ranks among league leaders in both these categories - sixth in scoring and ninth in rebounding. Smith also ranks second in field-goal percentage, shooting 58.8 percent in conference contests.
Boston College has a 17-8 record, including a 6-6 mark in BIG EAST action. The Eagles return to action on Sunday, February 22 when they host Rutgers. Game time is noon.
