CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College softball team received two national letters of intent from its 2005-06 class of recruits, as announced by head coach Jen Finley. The following is a list of players who will join the Boston College softball team as freshmen next season:
Danielle Pandolfo
Pitcher/Utility
Reading HS/Reading, Mass.
Pandolfo played both softball and field hockey at Reading High School. She is the younger sister of Angela Pandolfo, a freshman on this year's softball team. She also played travel ball for the Middlesex County Krush.
Finley on Pandolfo: "Angela is going to be an impact player for us as we make our transition into our first year as part of the ACC. We will look to have her step up and help right away."
Amanda Klimczak
Pitcher/First base
Diamond Ranch HS/Diamond Bar, Calif.
Klimczak played travel ball with two different teams - the Anaheim Orange County Batbusters and the Orange County Lionnettes.
Finley on Klimczak: "Amanda will be a great addition to our pitching staff. She will be an immediate contributor as part of the rotation that tackles our new conference foes."
