Boston College quarterback Paul Peterson, sidelined the past three weeks with an injury to his right hand, received clearance from his doctor Monday to begin tossing the football again.
"It felt really good to get my hand on the ball again," Peterson says. "It's getting stronger and stronger every day."
Peterson fractured the second metacarpal bone in his right (throwing) hand late in the second quarter of BC's Nov. 20 game at Temple and underwent surgery shortly thereafter. He missed the second half of the Temple game and did not play in the Eagles' Nov. 27 home game vs. Syracuse.
With no practice scheduled until Saturday due to final exams, Peterson tossed the football with teammates Monday afternoon in BC's indoor practice bubble.
