Tickets Still Available For BC-Rutgers Football Game

A limited number of tickets for Saturday's Big East football game against Rutgers remain on sale through the BC ticket office. The tickets may be purchased at the Conte Forum box office, by calling 617-552-GoBC, or online via this Web site.
The Eagles (5-2) are ranked 24th in this week's Associated Press poll, the team's first appearance in the national rankings since the end of the 2001 season.
The weekend's activities will be of special significance as BC celebrates the 20th anniversary of the 1984 team that finished with a 10-2 record and defeated Houston, 45-28, in the Cotton Bowl on New Year's Day. Some 50 members of that team are expected to attend a reception and dinner on Friday evening. The former players will be recognized at special halftime ceremonies at Saturday's football game.
The current Eagles will wear "throwback" uniforms, replicas of the 1984 team's uniforms, at the Rutgers game in honor of that team.
The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. in Alumni Stadium.
