The women's rowing team had its best performance of the fall this weekend at the Princeton Chase, as the Eagles went head to head with crews form around the country, including Yale, Virginia and Wisconsin.
The Eagles found their greatest success in the Women's Open Four race as the crew finished eighth out of 51 boats with a time of 18:03.02. BC was less than one second behind Cornell's top boat.
"I thought it was a huge improvement from the Head of the Charles," said assistant coach Michelle Garren. "We had a tough week at practice and I think that helped with technique and the speed of the boats."
Out of the 45 teams that competed in the Women's Open Eight, Boston College finished 19th with a time of 17:36.16, just after a squad from Syracuse. BC's second varsity eight finished in 24th place.
The Eagles will take part in their last regatta of the fall season when they return to their home course on November 13 to row in the Foot of the Charles. Races will begin at 9 a.m.
