Women's Golf finished in 12th place overall at the conclusion of the three-round Wildcat Fall Invitational. The tournament was held at the University Club of Kentucky this weekend in Lexington, KY.
Boston College finished the first two rounds with a team total 329 strokes in each round. In the final round of the tournament, the Eagles finished out with an improved 325 stroke performance.
Mississippi State won the invitational, posting aggregate round totals of 302, 299 and a tournament low 297 in the final round.
BC's top finisher was Elizabeth Friel. The sophomore, whose best finish was 17th at Dartmouth last season, shot three plus-9 rounds. The three rounds of 81 totaled 243 at the conclusion of the tournament, tying her for 36th place overall.
Finishing one stroke behind Friel was freshman Katie Napleton. The first year shot an 82 in the first-round and two 81's in the next two. She finished ties for 39th overall.
Lara Smilnak finished a stroke behind Napleton. Smilnak's second-round 79 moved her up after a first-round 86.
