Boston College was ranked 10th in the nation when the NSCAA/adidas soccer poll was released this afternoon. It is the first time the Eagles have been ranked in the top 10 since the middle of September.
BC finished its BIG EAST schedule last week with a 2-0 win over Connecticut and a 1-1 tie at Georgetown. The No. 10 Eagles (10-3-1) are currently in third-place in the conference standings with a 6-3-1 record and have clinched a spot in the BIG EAST tournament, which begins the first weekend in November. BC must wait for other teams to finish their conference schedules before learning who it will see in the quarterfinal round.
The Eagles have three games remaining on their schedule, including home matches Saturday night against North Carolina State and next Wednesday versus Ivy League foe Dartmouth. BC will play its final road contest of the season tomorrow against cross-town rival Northeastern at 3:30.
