Women's XC Places Fourth At National Invitational

Boston College finished fourth overall among the 41 schools running the six-k race at the National Invitational this weekend at Penn. State. BC finished with a total time of 1:49:13, topping 37 other competing teams.
Top finisher Cicero ran a 20:50 in the six-k event. This time landed her at 8th place overall in the race.
Finishing less than a minute behind Cicero was Laurel Burdick, whose 21:25 time slotted her at 18th overall.
Next finished Alexis Lake and Jessica Flinn, running a 22:08 and a 22:23, respectively. Lake finished in 46th place and Flinn came in at 59th.
Rounding out the runners for Boston College were Lynn Kubeja, Melissa Sherman and Megan Ruane. Kubeja ran a 22:28 and placed 67th. Sherman ran a 22:40 and finished in 85th. Ruane came in with a time of 22:43, good for 89th overall.
The women will run next at the Mayor's Cup on October 24th at Franklin Park, Boston.
