Women's Rowing Tops Competition At Riverfront

The women's rowing team performed well in its initial meet of the fall season, finishing first in the women's First College-Eight race with a time of 17:50.89 at the Riverfront Recapture Regatta.
The Eagles defeated crews from Smith, Trinity, Williams and Connecticut Colleges en route to their first win of the season. BC's second varsity-eight crew finished the race in 18:24.99, good for 11th place in the regatta.
Boston College also dominated in the varsity-four category, winning the first college-four race in a time of 19:16.82. The Eagles second squad finished in 10th place.
BC will continue its preparations for the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on October 23 and 24.
