BOSTON - Five different athletes won their respective events as Boston College captured first place at the BU Quad Meet held on Jan. 20, 2004 at the BU Track and Tennis Center.
Freshman Kasey Hill (Montgomery Centre, Vt.) led the Eagles accumulating a team-high 14 points. Hill took home first in the long jump and was the runner-up in the 55-meter dash and 55-meter hurdles.
The Eagles put forth a strong showing in the distance events, headed by Jennifer Kramer (Loudonville, N.Y.) who won the mile finishing in 4:49.19. Classmate Jennifer Donovan (Melville, N.Y.) and sophomore Laurel Burdick (Manlius, N.H.) rounded out the top three performers in that event.
Sophomores Anne Hessberg (Slingerlands, N.Y.), Megan Mara (Avon, Conn.) and Jessica Fazekas (Closter, N.J.) also earned top performances on the day for BC. Hessberg captured the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.02, while Mara won the pole vault clearing 10-11.75, good enough for fourth all-time in BC history.
