Nate Doornekamp Suffers Foot Injury

Boston College junior center Nate Doornekamp suffered a fracture to the fifth metatarsal in his left foot while playing basketball on Sunday, September 14 and will undergo surgery to secure the fracture on Friday, September 19.
The injury will sideline Doornekamp for 6-8 weeks. Boston College's first official practice of the 2003-04 season is Saturday, October 18.
Doornekamp, who has started all 63 games in his first two years at Boston College, averaged 3.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game last winter.
