Women's Golf Finishes Second At Dartmouth Invitational

Hanover, N.H. - The Boston College women's golf team opened their fall season successfully this weekend, finishing second at the 18-team Dartmouth Invitational with a two-round aggregate score of 626. Princeton won the event with a team score of 599 and Princeton's Avery Kiser was the individual medalist, posting two-round score of 144 (73-71).
Freshman Alison Walshe led the Eagles with a final score of 153 (80-73), good for a tie for fifth place. Senior Kerry Whalen posted a 158 (78-80) which put her in a tie for tenth overall. Junior Kori Goulet (77-84 - 161) tied for 17th and sophomore Elizabeth Friel, who placed second at this event last year, also posted a 161 (74-87). Tiffany Werning (83-79 - 162) and Jessica Steward (83-80 - 163) rounded out the scores for Boston College.
The Eagles will travel to South Bend on September 27-28 to participate in the Notre Dame Invitational.
