Volleyball Wins Third Match of Tournament

Boston College volleyball (2-1) captured a second win this weekend against Buffalo (2-1) in a four game set in the Western New York Tournament.
Several players stepped up for a combined effort during the two hour match. Freshmen Allison Anderson (Moraga, CA), Alison Shepp (Schaumburg, Ill.) and Dorota Niemczewska (Vernon Hills, Ill.) combined for 48 kills. Katie Andersen (Oakdale, CA) and Niemczewska pulled through on defense. Andersen tallied 20 blocks from the court while Niemczewska put up 17. BC outscored Buffalo by 11 points in the first match but the next three were competitively battled.
Buffalo blocked 14 shots from the Eagles. BC finished the match with 70 kills over Buffalo's 49.
The Eagles will round up the WNY Tournament against Niagra tonight at 7 p.m.
