Cape Cod League Recognizes Chris Lambert

Lambert closed out a stellar season down in Cape Cod.

The Cape Cod Baseball League announced its postseason awards this week. Junior pitcher Chris Lambert received the John Claffey New England Top Prospect Award for his outstanding season with the Chatham Athletics.

Lambert, a native of Manchester, N.H., finished the summer with a record of 3-3, struck out 56 and posted a 2.12 ERA.

Lambert received several awards this summer, including All-America Third Team honors and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division 1 District I Player of the Year. Last spring the right-hander went 8-2, striking out 88 to finish up his sophomore season.
