CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The baseball team has a busy week this week as it will cram six games into five days. Included in those contests is two games in the Baseball Beanpot at Fenway Park, the Eagles' first game at Shea Field and a three-game home series against conference rival Seton Hall.
The Beanpot was originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday but rain forced it to be pushed back to Wednesday and Thursday. The Eagles (18-16, 5-7 BIG EAST) play Northeastern, a team against which the Eagles split a doubleheader on April 10, in their first-round game on April 23 at 5 p.m. If they win, they meet the winner of the other first-round game, Massachusetts-Harvard, in the championship game at 5 p.m. on April 24. A first-round loss would mean BC would play the loser of UMass-Harvard at 2 p.m. the following day.
Pete Hughes' troops then play host to Rhode Island on Friday, April 25 at 3:30 p.m. at Shea Field. That is followed by a noon doubleheader against Seton Hall on Saturday, April 26 and a single game against the Pirates the following day starting at noon.

NOTES
LOTS OF 'O'
Boston College accumulated 25 hits in its 24-6 win over Harvard last Tuesday. The last time the Eagles put that many runs and hits on the board was May 2, 1999, when it banged out 27 hits in a 25-11 defeat of Connecticut.
WE'RE GOING STREAKING!
Two Eagles are carrying hit streaks of 10 games or more. Junior Josh DiScipio (Schenectady, N.Y.) has hit in 11 games in a row, while sophomore Drew Locke (Weymouth, Mass.) has at least one hit in his last 10 games. DiScipio's streak is tied for the longest by an Eagle this season. Sophomore Ryan Morgan (Weymouth, Mass.) also hit in 11 straight games, from March 22-April 12. Over their streaks, DiScipio is hitting .395 (17-for-43), while Locke is hitting at a .462 (18-for-39) clip.
CHECKING THE RECORD BOOK
Senior Vinny Scavone (Seffner, Fla.) went deep twice in BC's 24-6 drubbing of Harvard. Those were his 13th and 14th career home runs, moving him into a four-way tie with Sean Curtin '14, Chris Taylor '93 and Mike Nyhan '87 for ninth on the school's all-time list. Also, DiScipio has moved into eighth on the career steals list, with 27. Sophomore Chris Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) is tied for seventh with Chris Higgins '93 on the career wins list, with 14, and is fifth in strikeouts, with 148.
BIG EAST LEADERS
Sophomore Kevin Shepard (Andover, Mass.) has the second-lowest earned run average in the BIG EAST at 2.18, while Lambert's ERA (3.31) is ninth-best in the conference.
