Baseball Beanpot Postponed Due To Rain

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The baseball team's first-round Beanpot game today versus Northeastern, scheduled for 5 p.m. at Fenway Park, has been postponed due to rain. It will be made up tomorrow, Wednesday, April 23, at the same time.
Today's other first-round game, which pitted Harvard against UMass-Amherst and was to begin at 2 p.m., was also postponed until tomorrow and will be played at the same time.
The second day of competition has been moved to Thursday, April 24, with the consolation game beginning at 2 p.m. and the championship getting underway at 5 p.m.
The team also announced that it will play Rhode Island on Friday, April 25 at 3:30 p.m. at Shea Field. The game is a make-up of a meeting that was originally scheduled for March 18.
Boston College (18-16, 5-7 BIG EAST) was swept last weekend in a doubleheader at Rutgers. The Eagles fell to the Scarlet Knights by scores of 4-2 and 7-3.
