Women's Golf Finishes 17th at William & Mary Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Boston College women's golf team finished 17th out of 22 schools at the William & Mary Invitational, held March 29 at Ford's Colony Country Club. The Eagles finished with a score of 336. The tournament's second round was cancelled due to unsuitable playing conditions. Longwood University won the event with a team score of 307.
Sophomore Kori Goulet placed first for BC for the third consecutive tournament. Goulet finished tied for 48th with a score of 40-42-82. Close behind was freshman Elizabeth Friel, who finished tied for 62nd with a score of 41-42-83. Sophomore Tiffany Wernig shot 42-43-85, tied for 78th place, while sophomore Moira O'Connell finished tied for 83rd with a score of 42-44-86. Sophomore Elizabeth Callery rounded out the five Eagles' scorers with a score 46-44-90.
The Eagles return to action April 12 when they travel to Providence, R.I., to compete in the Brown University Invitational.
