Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Hoya Invitational

RESTON, Va. - The Boston College women's golf team finished fifth out of 15 schools at the Georgetown Invitational, held March 22-23 at Reston Golf Club in Reston, Va. The Eagles finished with a combined score of 330-333-663.
For the second consecutive event this spring, sophomore Kori Goulet led the Eagles with an 11th place finish with a score of 81-80-161.
Finishing second for BC and 18th overall was sophomore Tiffany Werning with a score of 83-81-164.
Sophomore Moria O'Connell shot 83-85-168, good for 31st place, while freshman Elizabeth Friel finished 37th with a score of 83-87-170. Rounding out the top-five for the Eagles was sophomore Elizabeth Callery, finishing 49th overall with a score of 88-88-176.
Junior Kerry Whalen competed as an individual and shot 87-82-169, good for 34th place.
The Eagles return to action Saturday, March 29, when they compete in the William and Mary Invitational.
