Lacrosse Picked Sixth in BIG EAST Preseason Poll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Boston College women's lacrosse team was picked to finish in a tie for sixth in the BIG EAST Conference, as released by the league offices yesterday. The Eagles finished the 2002 season in a tie for sixth as well. Georgetown was a unanimous selection for first place after winning the field last season.
Sophomore Jackie Yovankin was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. Yovankin, a midfielder, received Second Team All-BIG EAST honors after an impressive freshman campaign.
The Eagles open their season on March 6 at Hofstra University.
