Women's Golf Finishes Fourth At Yale Intercollegiate

New Haven, Conn. - The Boston College women's golf team finished fourth in the field of 14 teams at this weekend's Yale University Intercollegiate, played at the 5,902-yard par 70 Yale University Golf Course. The Eagles posted a two-round team score of 320-315 - 635. The event was won by Princeton, which posted a score of 612. The individual medalist was Yale's Cindy Shin (76-72 - 148).
Freshman Alison Walshe paced the Eagles, posting back-to-back 77s for a 154, good for a seventh place tie in the field of 67 players. Sophomore Elizabeth Friel (82-76 - 158) tied for 12th overall and junior Kori Goulet (81-78 - 159) finished in a tie for 14th. Tiffany Wernig rounded out the scorers for the Eagles, finishing in a tie for 29th with scores of 81-84 - 165.
The Eagles will be back on the course on October 17-18 when they travel to Piscataway, N.J. to participate in the Rutgers University Invitational.
