BOSTON (AP) - Brian St. Pierre threw two of his three touchdown passes to Jamal Burke as Boston College cruised to a 43-0 victory over Central Michigan on Saturday.
It was the Eagles' first shutout since a 17-0 win over Pittsburgh on Oct. 7, 1995, a span of 81 games.
Boston College (3-1) converted two Central Michigan (3-2) fumbles into a 10-0 lead in the game's opening 7:10 and broke it open with two touchdowns late in the second quarter.
St. Pierre was 25-of-35 for 314 yards and no interceptions after being held without a scoring pass for the first time in 15 games in a 38-6 loss at top-ranked Miami last Saturday. Derrick Knight carried 19 times for 102 yards and one TD.
Central Michigan quarterback Derrick Vickers fumbled on the third play of the game at his own 17. After Boston College's drive was stopped at the 9, Sandro Sciortino's 27-yard field goal made it 3-0.

Boston College broke it open when St. Pierre threw two touchdown passes in the closing 5:29 of the second quarter.
Knight's 25-yard run made it 30-0. Sciortino, who missed the extra point after Knight's score, had field goals of 27 and 34 yards, and Horrace Dodd added a 14-yard scoring run.
Central Michigan's best scoring chance came early in the first quarter when Mike Gruzwalski missed a 40-yard field goal attempt.
It was the schools' first meeting.
