Baseball And Softball Rained Out

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College's baseball game with cross-town rival Northeastern, which was scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, as been postponed due to inclement weather conditions in the Boston area. The contest was supposed to be played at Friedman Field in Brookline, Mass. The two teams are working on rescheduling the game, but a time and date has not been set.
Additionally, the softball team's single game at Harvard, scheduled for 3 p.m. on Thursday, has been cancelled due to continual rain. The contest was scheduled to be played at Harvard's field.
The baseball team (24-18, 13-7 BIG EAST) returns to action at 4 p.m. Saturday when they take on New York Institute of Technology (25-16) at Shea Field. The two teams will play on doubleheader on Sunday, with the first pitch going off at 12 p.m.
The softball team (23-26, 9-9 BIG EAST) will host Cornell in a single game on Saturday beginning at 4 p.m. On Sunday, the women will host Pittsburgh in a crucial BIG EAST series at 11 a.m.
