Baseball Contest With Rhode Island Postponed

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College baseball head coach Pete Hughes will have to wait until at least Thursday before trying to pick up his 100th victory as skipper for the Eagles, as Tuesday's contest with Rhode Island has been postponed due to poor weather in Kingston, R.I. The game has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday at Bill Beck Field.
Boston College returns to action for its home opener at 12 p.m. Saturday against BIG EAST rival Rutgers University in the first of three games with the Scarlet Knights. The Eagles and Scarlet Knights will play two on Saturday and one on Sunday. The first game will be seven innings, while the second and third contests will be nine.
