The Eagles' final tilt of the tournament was a career game for her. She went 3-for-4 with two home runs and a double. Blumfield also drove in a career-high six runs in the first multiple-home run game of her career.
In 2001, Blumfield was honored with the league's last Player of the Week honor of the season. She ranked among the final Division I leaders in the NCAA in batting, home runs, RBI and slugging percentage.
The Eagles are currently 3-7 on the season and will travel west for the annual Spring Break trip. BC will play three at Arizona State on March 1-3, then play two at defending national champion Arizona on March 5-6. The team will than take part in UNLV's tournament, playing two against Oregon and the host Rebels.
