Boston College Head Coach Al Skinner
"I really didn't know what to expect. There can always be problems with Senior Night. Some times you get to riled up, to revved up and you can't calm yourself. It was under normal circumstances, I would have expected to play a pretty good ballgame."
"He (Caron Butler) did a great job of getting on the backboards. Our defense is always going to make us deceptive because of the way we trap and the way we help and what we do defensively. We always concentrate on the ball so a lot of times we are going to be out of rebounding position. He obviously took full advantage of that."
"The rebounding was clearly the difference in the ballgame. I thought we played great defense then all of a sudden we just couldn't pull down that rebound. Good players find a way to get it done."
Connecticut Head Coach Jim Calhoun
"I think we played better, particularly in the first half. We also, probably, caught BC on a night where the ball didn't go in the basket for them. Even sometimes, when they had good shots, the ball wasn't falling for them, but I think we had something to do with that. I thought we jumped on them early, and overall, I thought we did a tremendous job defensively."
"This team has a pretty good edge right now, and I don't want them to lose that. I thought we played, in the first half, with a real nice edge to us, defensively, offensively, but in the second half the pressure bothered us a little bit."
"Caron was just magnificent. His strength and his ability to handle the ball and do all the things that he does do. He was just unbelievable on the wood."
