Boston College will host St. Bonaventure in a non-league contest at Conte Forum on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. The non-league contest between the BIG EAST and Atlantic 10 schools marks the second consecutive year the two teams have met.
Last winter, Boston College defeated St. Bonaventure, 96-82, in HSBC Arena in Buffalo, N.Y. on Nov. 28, 2001. Troy Bell led BC with 30 points, while Ryan Sidney registered 21 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. BC trailed by as many as 18 points in the first half, but trimmed its deficit to 12 points by halftime. The Eagles took their first lead on a Bell three-pointer with 12:07 to play in the game. The Bonnies battled back and tied the game at 76-76, before the visiting Eagles used a 14-2 run to secure the victory.
BC will play without senior forward Uka Agbai, who will miss at least six weeks with a neck injury. The game will snap Agbai's consecutive games played streak at 97. He had started each of the team's previous 93 contests.
Freshman forward Craig Smith will fill Agbai's spot. Head coach Al Skinner has also indicated that freshman guard Louis Hinnant will make his first collegiate start in the contest. Hinnant will replace junior forward Andrew Bryant.
