Softball Announces Dates For Winter Clinic

CHESTNUT, HILL, Mass. - Head coach Jennifer Finley and the Boston College softball team will conduct a progressive three-week Winter Warm-Up clinic in the "Bubble" during the month of January. The clinic will take place under the dome that covers the Alumni Stadium field during the winter.
"The Bubble" features full-sized batting cages, regulation-sized playing surfaces, and bullpen areas.
The clinic staff will be supervised by Finley and associate head coach Stephanie Fleischaker. The 1998 BIG EAST Coach of the Year, Finley is entering her eighth year at the helm of the softball team. She has led the Eagles to two BIG EAST Championships and two NCAA appearances. Fleischaker is entering her fourth year with the Eagle coaching staff and her first as associate head coach. In 2002, she brought the Eagles to their second-best offensive season since 1996.
The clinic will run on three successive Saturdays in January....the 4th, the 11th, and the 18th. Each weekend will concentrate on a different subset of offensive work, including skills, team situations, signal execution, and run creation. Players ages 13-18 are welcome and the cost is $100 per player. Teams of nine or more players will be charged $90 per player. Registration is being accepted through December 29 only.
