
Kryzak, Seidewand Lead Eagles Over Big Red

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Jaclyn Kryzak and Heidi Seidewand scored a goal and an assist each to lead the Boston College women's hockey team (6-4-1) over Cornell University (0-7-1) by a score of 4-1 Sunday afternoon in Conte Forum. Lindsey Bazzone and Gen Richardson also scored for the Eagles.
The first period opened with five minutes of play in the neutral zone, until Boston College began to dominate. Late in the period, Seidwand and Bazzone scored their fifth and six goals (respectively) of the season to give the Eagles the 2-0 advantage at the break.
Cornell won the second period, out-shooting Boston College eight to three. Jen Munhofen capitalized on a man advantaged and rifled a shot over BC goalie Alison Quandt's right shoulder.
Boston College came together again in the third period, doubling the Big Red's shot output and scoring two more goals. Kryzak and Richardson each scored in the frame to add to the Eagle lead.
The Eagles travel to Providence on Saturday, Dec. 7 to face the Hockey East powerhouse Friars at 2 p.m.
