Women's Cross Country Finishes 13th at NCAA Pre Meet

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Boston College women's cross country team finished in 13th place in the "Blue" race at the NCAA Pre Meet, hosted by Indiana State University. The team finished with 407 total points. Defending national champion Brigham Young won the race with 55 total points.
Sophomore Maria Cicero led the Eagles for the second straight week, finishing in 16th place with a time of 20:50 over the 6000 meter course. Senior Julie Spolidoro finished second for BC and 33rd overall with a time of 21:21. Junior Jennifer Donovan covered the course in 21:37, good for 49th place. Freshman Laurel Burdick finished in 22:10 to finish 106th and freshman Lora Mead rounded out the top-five for BC, finishing in 203rd place with a time of 23:10. Freshman Anne Hessberg (220th, 23:21) and sophomore Melissa Sherman (222nd, 23:22) rounded out the BC finishers.
Boston College returns to action Friday, Nov. 1, when they host the BIG EAST Championships at Franklin Park in Boston. The women's race is scheduled for 12:20.
