CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Adam Pfeifer, a sophomore forward on the men's soccer team, was selected to College Soccer News' National Team of the Week on Sept. 4. In the Eagles lone game last week, Pfeifer netted two goals and assisted on another as Boston College defeated Syracuse, 5-1, in both teams' season opener.
Pfeifer bookended the Eagles' scoring, scoring the first and the fifth goals of the match. He also assisted on Casey Schmidt's second goal, the team's fourth of the game.
His first goal was the first of the season for the Eagles and the first of Pfeifer's career. His five points on the day totaled one fewer then his 2000 season output, which included six assists. Last year, he led the Eagles in the assist category.
