MIAMI, Fla. - Boston College junior tailback William Green (Atlantic City, NJ) has been named a first team All-American by The Football News.
Green lead Boston College in rushing this year with 1,559 yards on 265 carries for 15 touchdowns. He is currently the second-leading rusher in the country and the leading rusher in the BIG EAST.
Joining Green on the first team was running back Luke Staley of BYU. Other BIG EAST players on the first team included offensive lineman Bryant McKinnie of Miami (Fla.), defensive lineman Dwight Freeney of Syracuse and defensive back Edward Reed of Miami (Fla.).
