Bell Sidelined By Knee Injury

Boston College junior guard Troy Bell has suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee and will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Bell, the 2001-02 BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year, is expected to miss 2-6 weeks of action.
Bell earned All-America second team honors and BIG EAST Co-Player of the Year honors last winter. He led the Eagles to a record-setting 27-5 mark, the BIG EAST regular-season title, the BIG EAST Championship Tournament crown and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
The Eagles open their 2001-02 season on Sunday, Nov. 18 against Boston University.
