CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore forward Neil Krause was honored as the BIG EAST Co-Offensive Player of the Week in men's soccer. In the Eagles' 3-2, overtime victory over Georgetown on Sunday, Oct. 28, Krause netted two goals including the game-winner in the extra session.
BC split two games last week, dropping a 1-0, double-overtime decision to Dartmouth with just over two minutes remaining and defeating Georgetown, 3-2, behind Krause's efforts.
Against the Hoyas, Krause staked the Eagles to a 2-0 lead in the 53rd minute. After the visitors rallied to tie the game, Krause ensured the Eagle victory just 41 seconds into overtime, converting a Chris Cleary cross alone in front of the net.
With the win, BC maintained it stake in a four-way tie atop the BIG EAST standings with a 9-5-0 overall record and a 6-3-0 mark in the league.
The Eagles will next face Brown in a non-conference match on Wednesday, Oct. 31 - Halloween - in a 7 p.m. game in Providence.
