Swimming Competes Against Brown

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.- The Boston College men's and women's swim team competed against Brown University in St. Nicolas, Aruba on Jan. 11 in a non-scoring relay meet.
In the 200-backstroke relay, the relay of Caitlin Klick, Brianne Sullivan, Crista Ehlers and Danielle D'Amelio finished in second place. Lauren Schwartz, Pam Foschi, Katie Sobocienski and Alexis Kostopoulos finished also in second place in the 200-breaststroke. Competing in the 200-butterfly, Ingrid Orvedal, Schwartz, Meghan Smith and Kostopoulos finished in second place. Taking third place in the 200-freestyle relay was Cathleen Blaston, Lisa DelSignore, Caitlin Healey and Nicole Duffy.
In the men's meet, the relay of Matt Baker, Andrew Fromm, David Bliss, Gordon Glover took second place in the 200-freestyle relay. In the 200-backstroke relay, Baker, Matt Barbini, David Bliss and Paul Calahan finished in third place. Also in third place was the relay of Fromm, Marc Manganeillo, JD McMillin and Jay Stephens in the 200-breaststroke. Rounding out the day of competition in third place was the 200-butterfly relay of Jack Beirele, Glover, Russ Keil and Jay Pollack.
The men's ad women's swimming and diving team will next compete on Thurs. Jan. 18 at 5:00 p.m. against New Hampshire in Durham N.H.
